On April 29th Sinya was transferred to Tsavo East National Park where the Sheldrick Trust has two facilities for the older orphans. Sinya is at the Voi Stockades. She and her companions are still kept safe at night inside corrals. In the daytime they are taken out by the keepers to feed. There they might meet wild elephants and eventually when she is older she may stay out, meet and mate with a wild bull, and start her own family.

Sinya will not be able to return to Amboseli and her own mother because there is no facility there to keep the orphans safe and gradually release them back into the wild.
