On the book, "Elephant Memories"

Greetings!

I borrowed the book "Elephant Memories" from the library about a week ago and couldn't put it down! The personalities of each elephant shine through to move the reader to laughter at their "floppy running" and to tears when Teresia is killed.

Cynthia Moss accomplished the goal she mentions in the introduction by allowing the reader to become attached to the elephants and share in the joy and pain of their lives. I was not even alive when the book was first published, but through Cynthia Moss' wonderfully well-written acounts of her experiences with the T's, I felt like I were there with the families, watching calves be born or mourning with them over the loss of a matriarch.

Thank you Cynthia Moss for giving the Amboseli elephants a voice!

Sincerely,

Kathy Harris

Are their any other books based on the Amboseli Elephants that anyone would recommend?

If you visit this and other elephant sites, and have not read Elephant Memories by Cynthia Moss, please do. You are in for a treat.
