Amidst the bad, sad news of the drought (it still hasn't rained) there is a very bright spot for all of us in Amboseli. We are delighted to announce the birth of Katito Sayialel's baby girl born on October 19. Mother, father and baby are all doing very well (see the happy photo of them while still at the hospital).

Older brother Chaka and sister Nayanka are staying with their grandmother in Oloitokitok but are thrilled at the news (although Chaka wanted a baby brother).

Her lovely name is: Nandi Saire. She is going to be a beauty as you will see in the photo of her on her first day home.
