The Amboseli Trust for Elephants (ATE) started an initiative of supporting young Maasai girls in high school and also paying University scholarship for girls and boys.

Faith Resiato Oloitiptip was one of the students sponsored by Amboseli Trust for Elephants during her undergraduate degree in University of Nairobi in September 2005 which she cleared in August 2008. She graduated with a Second Class Honors - UPPER division in Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resource Major) course. Through ATE she managed to get a scholarship to China for Masters in Environmental Science for Sustainable Development. The course took a duration of two years which she then graduated in 30th of June 2010 having completed course work and thesis write up. The thesis topic was Comparison of Accounting Calculation methods of Landfill Gas.

On the 10th July 2010, Faith Resiato was welcomed by family members and friends at the KJIA followed by a home coming ceremony at her home in Olgulului. I attended the ceremony and during the function a lot of good things were said about the project and the importance of education in the Maasai community especially girls who have been neglected for many years. She is now a role model and an asset to the entire community.

Amboseli Trust for Elephants goal is to continue supporting young Maasai girls and boys in the entire ecosystem therefore any donation for such a worthy cause would be much appreciated.
